About Me

My name is Mrs. Bergeron or Mrs L. and I am so excited to be teaching 1st and 2nd grade at Monkton Central School! I was born in Middlebury, VT and I am the oldest of eight children!  I have six younger brothers and one younger sister.  We always had so much fun together while we were growing up.  I attended Monkton Central School and then graduated from Mount Abraham.  After I graduated from high school, I attended Champlain College where I had the opportunity to travel and live in Skӧvde, Sweden.  Talar du svenska? (Do you speak Swedish?)  After I traveled back to Vermont from traveling around Europe, I pursued my love of teaching and enrolled in the master of education program at Saint Michael’s College.

My husband and I have two dogs and a cat. Our dogs’ names are Birch and Spruce and our cat’s name is Norma.  I love learning, exploring and teaching in nature. My outside of school hobbies include playing soccer, hiking, biking, and going for long runs.
