About Me
Hola! My name is Roberta Pena-Benard and I am an Educational Assistant at Monkton Central School. I am from New Mexico and have lived here in Vermont for 5 years now. I graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BA in Education and taught in Albuquerque many years before moving here.
I have a wonderful husband Sam and two amazing children, Samantha and Angelita. We also have two dogs, DV and Chimichanga, a cat named Taco and many chickens some of which are named Queso, Gordito, Pocito and Roo LOL. We love being outdoors, cooking, playing games, watching movies and just spending time together.
I have always loved teaching and working with students of all ages. I have been in a classroom setting for about 20 years now and love it. It is such a joy to work with students and their families and I look forward to the many years to come.
